About Lu

Luman R. Wing received an MTh in theological ethics and a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and has over thirty-five years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry as a toxicologist. 

He worked as Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego, Azusa Pacific University, and Trinity International University, where he taught undergraduate courses in microbiology and graduate courses in bioethics. 

Lu is currently a pharmaceutical consultant, and active member of the American Society of Human Genetics, and a consultant with the BIOCOM interdisciplinary research team in cell and gene therapy. He serves on the board of several ministries.

He and his wife, Pam, runs Lu & Pam Wing Ministry. Pam is an accomplished harpist, who is available for special music at your church or ministry at harpwing.com.

Lu is a published author.

His most recent publication is chapter 10 in the book “On Gene Editing, from Taking Persons Seriously, Guta and Rae, editors (2024)”

In this chapter, he examines the science and ethical implications of gene editing.  This is a fairly recent biotechnological advancement.  In Lu’s words….
